Bruce Mee (Fireworks Magazine) strikes gold assembling this lineup of players, as I'm sure this release will go in my top 5 for 2025. Andrew Freeman (Last In Line) is the youngster with this group of seasoned musicians. This album is straight up 80's inspired hard rock as 'most' of the dudes heyday was in the 80's or 70's (Tony Carey Rainbow). Straddling the line of MHR with a few melodic metal leaning tracks. Elements of Dio, Rainbow, with a splash of Deep Purple (keys). This is genuinely a great album that has passed my repeated listen test. Of course 'Sign of the Wolf' isn't reinventing the wheel but it's not a tribute band either. It's more of a recreation of that classic rock sound that so many of us love (let's see A.I. do this). There are so many Euro bands floating around today that often imitate, but never truly replicate that 80's inspired sound.
