| "The Other Side" was released as a single in the summer of 1990, and my local rock station played the "Honky Tonk Mix" as often as they did the album. I was somewhat obsessed with taping it off the radio that summer, including the whole tuning-through-an-AM-radio intro. It was my first experience with a remix, and I thought it was so neat. It never occurred to me that it might be available for purchase. I thought it was just something that was sent to radio stations. (The Top 40 station played the "Club Mix" a few times as well.)
